Town Meetings

We will organize Town Meeting votes to encourage, require, educate, and otherwise support broad adoption of regenerative practices on public land, in public space. In Cabot, VT, the Town Meeting voted to give Abanaki people permission to harvest food, medicine, and art materials in the Town Forest. We also ask towns to vote in support regenerative state legislation such as H. 292, the Regenerative Economy Bill.

People’s Assemblies

We will convene People’s Assemblies to unite all the local actions. The Regenerative Economy Bill calls for these Assemblies to be funded and staffed by the Regional Planning Commissions. The first Assembly was held online on Saturday, October 2, 2021. Click here to watch the video of it.

Training and Research

The work we are doing at the local level takes training and research. We provide free online workshops and we are open to what you have to offer. Click here to see videos about the topics we cover.

Local Energy

Town Energy Committees are working on energy efficiency and renewable energy options to help the state meet our ambitious climate and renewable energy goals. Join the Vermont Energy and Climate Action Network (VECAN).

Mutual Aid Networks

Knit your community together with mutual aid networks, where people agree to share time, talents, and resources with each other for community wellness. Click here for a list of networks around the state, compiled by Vermont NEA.

end industrial agriculture

We will work with farmers who need to switch to regenerative practices and help them make the change.
